One week

That's all that I have left, one week. It's hard to believe I've been here almost 4 months, that I'm going home, will have a college degree when I get there, and a friend or two less. But home I must go. On the upside I get to see my family and friends and Otakon is only one week after I get home. I can't wait for that.

3 weeks

I have three weeks left here. That's it. I'm really confused emotionally right now. Part of me wants to stay because I love it here. Part of me wants to go home. Part of me wants to stay but at the same time knows I have to go home and just wants the three weeks to be over. As a result of all this internal turmoil, I can't think or feel anything else.

I'm not sure how going home will work as I've now lived totally on my own for 3 months. I haven't been home for three months and only seen family once. Heck most people in college are home more then that. Now I have to go home and pick up where I left off?

I have to pretty much change my life completlly when I get home. I need to trade in my car for something easier on the wallet, I need to get into a new school, I need to find a new job and finally I need to deal with being single again.

One thing is certian, I am coming back here and maybe next time it will be for good.

Not much left...

So I'm down to 3 weeks left here, and I must say I'll miss it but I'm ready to go home , for now anyway. I plan to come back next year and perhaps stay for good next time. Update on the roommate known as "numb-nuts". I've stepped my attacks up a bit by disconnecting his network cable on his computer. Not enough for him to see but enough for him to lose internet. Also I hid is "Zune" under the couch and his disney ID in the chair. He leaves tomorrow morning so tonight before I go to bed I'm leaving a note taped to the door.....

Meanwhile it's Star Wars weekends down here and let me just say they are awesome. Star Wars characters everywhere you look and really awesome stuff to buy. Gotta love it.

See ya on the flip side and may the force be with you.

Fun with annoying room mates.

So, a couple weeks after I moved to the new apt, they moved in another new guy. Form the moment he walked in the door he did not stop talking. He talks when you're watching tv, talking to other people, messing around on the computer, listening to music, WEARING HEADPHONES. He is also leaving our front door open and bringing people over and then going to bed with them still here. He also leaves his stuff all over the common room. So the rest of us have started messing with him. I've been hiding his keys in the couch and chairs and my room mate has been hiding his cell phone in the dishwasher and the fridge. He's only got 1 more week, but we might step things up a bit....

Some Days

First post of June!
Some days I love it here, some I wish I could go home, but the love it days win out. I've finally got the hang of small grill(I.E. No burns) and I'm starting to like where I live, though I hate my one room mate. He's never stopped talking since he moved in, leaves the door open, has people over and leaves em here alone, and makes a ton of noise late at night.

Tomorrow I'm go to try and move to Sabal Palms, it suppose to be really nice so here's hoping they let me move. Leave a Comment or IM me once in awhile!

Why?

I spent most of yesterday almost in tears, Came close to quiting and going home, not apt home, but real home. Today I fight with some people, then tomorrow, well I'll talk about that later. I lost my election by 2 votes, so I'll be running again next month. Oh and pretty no one from home is coming down now, so It will be 2 more months till I see most people....

Life, The Universe and Everything.

I found out that the next building over is full of people from Maryland, I'm going to have to find them and say "hi hon, got any naty'bo?".
I find myself liking it down here more and more each day. The housing is ok, the weather is great, the people are nice. People from home now randomly call or text me to say hi and see how I am, so I'm over homesickness and my parents visited last week so that was nice.

Some people have asked what it's like working for disney, well I've been here almost two months and Everyday as I walk through EPCOT to work I still think to my self "I work at DISNEY WORLD!!!" You really can't beat that...

The Week from Hell/ One Day can change Everything.

Sunday I was in the car accident, Tuesday I lost my cell phone, possibly my digital camera and broke up with my gf(If you can say that, it had been 3 weeks since she had talked to me).

Thursday was a nice change though, I got $200 worth of Disney Merchandise for $46, Got a new 30" inch TV for free had a nice dinner and had some fun with new friends(something else happened put I'm not jinxing it by talking about it).

My Mom and Dad are coming down tomorrow for a visit, so Not sure when I'll be online.

Some people.

Some people don’t understand how to be in relationships. Some people don’t understand the give and take. Some people don’t know how to show affection. Some people don’t realize that when you tell them “Leave me alone and let me have time to think” that most will actually DO THAT. Some people don’t realize how much it hurts if you don’t talk to them. Some people don’t realize what it’s like to sit at home waiting for the phone to ring, a text message to come, an email to show up, or a IM from the person they care about, hoping it will say, “I’m ready to talk to you again, lets try and work past this”. Some people don’t the other person in a relationship is there for to vent your feeling and provide a shoulder to cry on.

Two real posts tonight.

Best. Day. Ever.

After work I stopped by a store down here and as I walked to the counter I met...her. The perfect girl. Long blonde hair, great body and wearing the shirt with the NES cartridge on it that says "Blow me". We started talking and hit off. She's in to anime video games and she's part polish. We spent the rest of the day together and as we walked down the moonlit path at Caribbean Beach, I turned to her looked her deep in the eyes and said "So I heard you like mudkips." She looked back and said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in bel Air' I whistled for a cab and when it came near The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror If anything I can say this cab is rare But I thought 'Now forget it' - 'Yo homes to Bel Air'. I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later' I looked at my kingdom I was finally there To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air.

Life comes at you fast.

I learned yesterday afternoon a very dear friend of mine's grandfather died. My prayers go out to her and her family and I wish I could be there for her like was for me last year. Yesterday continued to be bad when I was on my way home. While using an onramp I lost control, spun out and ended up in a ditch and took out a light pole. I'm fine, my car is....ok but I killed the light pole.

Today we had Severe Thunderstorm warning with hail and a chance of tornadoes. Tomorrow I get an estimate on my car and a rental.

Ring of fire

Lots of people have asked me why I have decided not to live the life culinary. Well lets start with the three new burns I have, three in two days. Not much has happened in the last few weeks, well not anything I want to post here. Not much has happened here, though one of my room mates ahs gone home since his time was up, so I'm short one. Also in two weeks the other two will be going home, so I may have to move to a new apt.

Oh and I bought some new EVAs on Thursday.

Florida Mall

I hate you Florida mall, with your Gamestop, EB, Borders with a Manga section bigger the my living room, Hot topic, and Anime store. I hate you because I spent to much money. I hate you because I will go back to you and spend more. I do however love you for having a pair of shoes in payless in my size. That rocked.

So yeah, I bought 4 mangas, a pair of shoes, a large box of pocky for $2.29 and this really aweome EVA unit 01(see picture link below).

Ok, I'm off to do some laundery then play some computer games. Got another day off tomorrow. Not sure yet what I'm going to do.

Click, Click Click

I have adopted a bunny. You see there is this cute little bunny that lives outside my building and it's always in front of my parking spot when I come home at night, so I have claimed it as my own. MY bunny. MINE.

I tired to go to bed early last night, but my roommate stayed up till 6am messing around on his laptop. All night long: Click. Click. ClickClick. ClickityClick. Click. Click. Click. ClickClick. ClickityClick. Click. I ended up crawling out to the couch and sleeping there form a few hours. Quite comfy that couch.

Nothing interesting has happened in the last few days. I've been getting the hang of my new job and yesterday night I did so well I got entered into some kind of performance contest.
Oh well, I'll be up late tomorrow night, no work monday or tuesday.

Not so Living Seas

Today sucked. Oh yes. I got up at 12pm got ready for work and had some lunch at 1. I got to the Coral Reef Restaurant at 2, where I was told that they do breaks different, you get your whole break at the start of your shift. So, from 1pm to 11pm I didn't eat anything. Quite a few times at that insanely busy place I felt like passing out. Oh well, know better for tomorrow, err, today.

I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there I'll tell how I became the prince of bel-air. No, wait, I'm going to talk about my room mates. yeah that's it. I gotta start writing these before I get punch drunk....

So room mate #1, the one I share a bedroom with, Howard. Howard is a nice guy, drinks a bit much for me but that's his thing. Howard may or may not be gay. I honestly can't tell. It's be years since that has happened. He gives off all the gay vibes, but he dates women. Oh well, not my problem. He is original for Buffalo and went to school in N.C. so half my room is covered in Sabers/Woflpack stuff.

Room mate #2, Richard. Richard is the typical geek. Warhammer, D&D, TCGs, comics, anime. He has done it all. He is a lot shorter then me and about as skinny as me, but studied martial arts and was in the Army, so he's not someone to mess with.

Room mate #3, Greg. Greg confuses me the most. Greg has a lot of women chasing after him (I've heard about 5 so far in the 2 weeks here) and yet he does nothing with them. NOTHING. Not even date. There is one girl in our building that comes over almost every night to see him and every time she starts to show him any affection, he finds a reason to leave. Now this girl doesn't seem to have anything that would make her chase guys off, so I don't really get the whole thing. He chases after a girl till he gets her, then boom she's forgotten. I guess he only likes the chase? Between his strange sleeping habits and the whole thing with women, sometimes the guy really freaks me out.

Anyway, I promised to post pics of my living arrangement 2 days ago, but it's been raining so taking pics has been a bad idea. Hopefully tomorrow it will clear up and I can take some.

Day off #2

Another day off with nothing to do. When I finally dragged myself out of bed, I went to see 300. The movie rocked and it wasn't as bloody or gory as I expected.
I haven't mentioned it yet, but Friday I mentioned my Chefs about my peanut allergy and they didn't know. It seems that the kitchen I was placed in uses peanuts and peanut butter all the time. So I'm getting moved. Found out today I'm being moved to "The Seas", sweet seafood!

It's funny but the two radio stations I've been listening to down here are 101.1 and 97.9(which just so happens to be 98 rock.) The really funny part is that they are far better then the ones back home, they play a better mix of music(it's been two weeks and not a song repeated) and they don't take as many breaks, just lots of music.

I'm thinking of looking to staying here....

As for maggie's comment, I'm pretty much always off by 10:30pm and I'm almost always online. I don't call people because some people never answer the phone(justin) I'm not the biggest fan of talking on the phone and I don't know when I can call people...

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! And wesolego alleluja!

I'm lonely and home sick. Yes I have 3 room mates 2 of whom are geeks. Do I see them? No. They work when I'm home and vice-versa. Some people I haven't talk to since getting here, some in over a week some in days. Lawrence has been the only person I talk to on a regular basis with Jason coming in close behind...

I miss my dog. I miss my house. I miss places I used to go. I do not miss the Aquarium, it can suck my ****. I don't miss the fish either, but I have the Living Seas to see them in.

The last time someone called me that was not my mom or sister was on
3/29. Yes that's March 29th, today is April 9th. I keep thinking of turning off trillian and Gtalk since no one ever IMs me. Now I'm going to go listen to My chemical romance and cut my wrists. Kidding. You know I'd never willing listen to MCR. ;)

I'm happy I'm not in either of the other two apt complexes they have here, the road they are on is more of a parking lot the way traffic is. Tomorrow(today??!?!) I"m going to see to movies. 300 and either TMNT or meet the Robinsons. I will also be posting a Photo tour of where I live.

Now I'm off to kill stuff.

So tired....

So yesterday I worked 1pm to 9:30pm and today I worked 6am to 2:30pm. I managed about 4 hours sleep last night. I came home today and took a 4 hour nap, but I'm still so tired. I wanted to go see a movie tonight, but when I got to the theater, all the ones I was interested in were sold out till 11pm and it was 8pm. I'm going to try again tomorrow maybe see two. I was bored today so I found a site where you can make your own Joke Motivational Posters, so I made 5:

1st real day of work

Today was my first real day of work. My kitchen is huge and has windows!(most kitchens don't.) We had Pirate theme party today. The replica of the Flying Dutchman was awesome. And the center pieces were really cool too. I learned that even though I may like the soundtracks to POTC and POTC 2, I can't hear them more then 3 times in a row without getting sick of it. It rained today and it's a bit cooler here tonight then it's been (61 at night, which is still warmer then home during the day. *blows raspberry*) I'm finally starting to feel home sick as I've now been here a whole week. I miss everyone but some people more then others ;).

Well, Mickey is knocking on the door, It's time for our arse raping, gotta go....

Wedensday.

I have no better name because nothing big happened. I slept late then I went to the Costco down here. Spent $75 and bought enough food for a month. Then I came home and did nothing some more. I ate some of my food and I'm going head down to the Gym for a bit. I'm bored and have nothing better to do right now.

Oh and this is the movie I helped with that my room mate made. Oh and get your mind out of the gutter, it's not that kind of movie.

Discovery Day

Today was my EPCOT Discovery Day, I learned Ray Bradbury named Space Ship Earth(the golf ball). I learned very little else. I was told by four different people all in a row that it was a a slow time and next week it would pick up. I was in a group with lots of people my age, but who do I make friends with? The older retired couple. Yup, that's me...

When I got back, I did nothing for an hour, then went to get dinner. When I got back I found out the building behind mine was on fire. Nothing wrong with mine, so I ate dinner, and did nothing some more. Then one of my roommates can home and decided to make a funny video and asked for my help, so I'll be in a video about toothpaste later.

Day off tomorrow, so maybe some swimming.

Tips on disney

I sent out this as an email to a couple people and one of them said I should post it here, so...

For those of you planning or even thinking of visiting me, I will now give you some tips on Disney. I'm sure my sister will give you more, but remember who gave you tips first!!!

1. If you are flying down and staying on property, make sure you sign up for Mickey's Magical Express. It is a FREE bus service from Orlando airport to whatever Disney hotel you're staying at. It's a real nice tour bus which during the ride they will show you a Disney movie....

2. Disney hotels can turn your room key into a Credit card tied to the room, so you can charge things against the room, this can make quick meals at the hotels even easier.

3. All shops in the parks have the option to have what you buy either shipped to the front of the park, or back to your room so you don't have to carry it around all day.

4. Anytime you have to get in a line(food, rides, shopping) always go to the line farthest left. People in the US(and a lot of the world) are used to walking and driving on the right, so they tend to go to the right line. 8 out of 10 times the Left line will be shorter. (I used that trick this week on Pirates)

5.If you are taking the Monorail to Magic Kingdom, ride the Resort one and not the Express. People think the express will get them there faster and that the resort one will not go to the park. They are soooo wrong. The resort gets to the park only slightly slower and it is always emptier then the express. On crowed days you can get a seat on the resort while on the express you'll be packed in like a sardine.

5. The Fast Pass. It's a wonderful thing and will save you time by keeping you out of lines. But you can only have one at a time, right? Wrong. Sure you can only have one on you admission ticket, but most Fast Pass machines have a little button on the back near the top that if you press, the machine will spit out Fast Pass. Not many people not on cast know about this, so don't go blabbing it, also not all the machines buttons work.

6. It does not matter which hotel you stay at on property, you can go to any of the others and use the pools and other ahemitys at them. This is great as some hotels suck, but have awesome pools.

7. Have one "Big meal" a day. Don't eat a big, expensive breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pick one and eat cheap the rest. Your wallets and stomachs will thank you.

8. Disney mixes their drinks hard and well. One drink here will pack the punch of two most other places but they are mixed so well you won't feel or taste it.

9. Parades are a great time to go on rides. Ride wait times almost always drop during parades. Since everyone is watching the parade, no one is riding rides!

10. Magic Kingdom and Disney MGM studios both have "Main Streets" and on the left side(when entering the park) they both have shops that are connected and run the length on the "Main Street". They all have A/C. But few people seem to realize this, so they make great shortcuts around the crowds. Also, during parades, they are really the only way around.

11. It gets really hot here, far hotter then baltimore. Drink lots of water, wear lose light colored clothes, and try to wear shorts.Even if you don't like them, you'll like passing out less.

12. MAKE RESERVATIONS. When you want to eat somewhere, make reservations. Almost all the sit down resturents will let you make them, and it is really good idea to for a number of reasons, which I'll go it to only at request. Also, I highly recomend going to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. It's a fun all you can eat show/buffet. The food is really good american style(Fried chicken, ribs, corn on the cob, beans and strawberry shortcake, plus unlimited draft beer, wine, sangria and soft drinks. I love it, the food is good and so is the show, but you have to make reservations well in advance. Like TODAY.

13. Go buy a Birnbaum's book. http://www.amazon.com/Birnbaums-Walt-Disney-World-2006/dp/0786855487 that's the 06 editon, but the 07 should be out. It will make planning a lot easier.

More tips to come as I think of them. All of these my family have been using for years, some we learned from guide books and many Lisa came up with.

A real post will come later.

Adventure last night, Fear tonight

Yesterday I had another boring class, that just repeated stuff I already knew. Afterward I went to church. The church closest to me in Mary, Queen of the Universe. They always say there that it is not a parish churhc and they have no parishioners. I plan to be it's 1st ever parishoner. After church I realized how awesome it is that I'm at the Vista Way apts, because the other two Disney has are on the same street as the church. That street is always like a parking lot. Everyday, all day.
When I was done, I went home had some dinner, then me and one of my roommates went over to Pleasure Island. We went to The Adventures Club and I had half of some crappy drink and a Smirnoff. The jokes were actually pretty good and the actors were pretty quick on their toes. Plus watching the drunks make fools of themselves was fun.

Today I slept till 1 then went off to find Chipotle. It was a bit of a trip and with all the toll roads here it cost me $2.50 to get there, but it was nice to eat like home. After that I made a dry run to where I'll be working, looks like without traffic it would take me about 15 minutes to get there. I came back and took a swim. Now I sit here somewhat scared of tonight. You see, (for those of you that don't know) Tonight is the Ohio state, Florida state game. I'm living in central Florida and a lot of the Kids in my Apt complex are from Ohio State. I'm kinda worried that no matter the out come of the game, things here will be bad. So I ask that those of you that pray, pray for me tonight.

Well, Gotta be up early tomorrow, see ya!

Fun in parks

Today, after sleeping till 1pm I went to 3 of 4 parks. I went on Pirates of the Carribean and got to see Captain Jack Sparrow. I was amazed by how much the Audio Animatronic looked like Johnney Depp. You can really see how far Disney technolgoy has come since Pirates was 1st made.
I then went to Disney MGM Studios and rode Star Tours and wandered through the gift shop outside. I think I might have to break down and buy a new T-shirt...

I then made my way to EPCOT. I was planning to go on Soaring, but it had a 110 minute wait and no more fast passes, so I just went inside and had some dinner and went on Living with the Land. Then I went over what used to be the Living Seas but is now "the Seas, with Nemo" it was pretty good. I then went over to Japan for shopping, both window and real. After that I took a trip on the Monorail back to my car. Now, I'm just chilling out in my apt. Tomorrow night I might go to to downtown disney for a bit.

“Traditions”

Today I became a real cast member. I got my name tag and my ID and went through Traditions, Disney’s “this is what our company is all about” thing. The two women running it were nice and both had the Disney “perkiness” but the one, Cheryl, seemed like after she woke up in the morning took some Speed. She was waaaaaay to into everything. After class I set up an account with Disney’s bank, to avoid fees. Them I found out I had missed the bus back to my apt. I asked around and found out that I needed to take the staff bus to Magic Kingdom, go through the park then I could get where I wanted to go. So I hopped on the bus and when I got off I was in the back of Magic Kingdom so I got to go through “The Tunnel”. For any of you that know about Disney, you may have heard about the underground city below Disney, well that’s where I was, it was awesome, I got to see all sorts of things during my short trip, but I signed a “Non-disclosure” thingy so….

After leaving MK, I went to Downtown Disney to see my boss from home before she left. We had a nice chat about work and I told her some tricks to use next time she came. I warned her if she left quite a few people would follow; she said she knew and that kind of left her in a bad position. I told her I’d get people to lay off staying stuff like that. I said good bye to her and then did some shopping. Got some cool stuff and saw a lot of other cool stuff I’ll be buying later. I had planned to come home, change, take a short nap, and then head to a park, but I went to sleep at 5 and did not wake up till 8, so the parks will have to wait till tomorrow….

Day 2/3 in florida

Went to a boring orientation yesterday, got my housing ID, got all nice and moved in. My roommates seem nice and 2 of the 3 are geeks. We are going to start up a D&D game. Got to go swimming. Went to Wal-mart at 11:30, which is the latest I've ever been to one.

Today I found out where I'll being working. I will be cooking in Epcot at the Conventions they have there. Spent some time online today, going to go swimming again and maybe hit the weight room. Also going to install some games on my lappy, gotta get my KOTOR in.

Tomorrow I become a real cast mamber and get to go to the parks for free. YAY!

Travel day 2

Left earlier this morning by about an hour. Some funny things about the roads in the carolinas. 1st off, for those of you back in the Baltimore/DC area, we're used to I95 being four lanes on both sides with what seems like just poured yesterday pavement. Not down south, no way. Two lanes both sides, and the roads seem like they are the original form the fifties. And yet with the speed limit being 70, 85-90 is easy to do. So to recap, we get great roads, but with all the traffic get to do 25mph on them, while in the south the roads suck but they can do 90 if they feel like it. Next, going back to the two lane thing, everyone drives in the right lane they only use the left lane to pass and without a turn signal. So it's, line of cars in the right lane, nobody in the left...
I also learned a trick, Find someone going at the speed you want and then follow them at about 1/6 mile. That way you can speed and if the cops are on the road, they pull over the guy in front of you.

I'm now in Lake Buena Vista, FL. Staying at a Holiday inn(they gave me a kids room...) Tomorrow is check in with Disney, meanwhile going to be bored in my room....

Travel day 1

I started out a lot later then I wanted but still made it half way in 7 hours. I think the biggest thing to happen while driving was going over the river "Ni". I'm staying in hickville...err....Dillon, SC. over night at a faded Econolodge.(I say that because everything in the place is faded even the sign.) The biggest thing in Dillion is, in my opinion the closed movie theater ;) or maybe the place that was selling "Real Chicken". With all the breaks I went 420 miles in 6 hours.

I couldn't admit it this weekend but it was really hard for me to say goodbye to all my friends and family. Last night and the night before, when I was saying goodbye everyone was getting all emotional and I kept saying "I'll see you in..." but I was just trying to be strong for them. I'm not going to see most of the people that are really important to me for 2 months and that really scares me.

I have to admit though, the person that I had to hardest time saying goodbye to was my dog, Ginger. I won't see her till july and she doesn't really understnad that. This morning when I said goodbye I was almost in tears, because she was all happy, having no idea whats going on.

But change is life and I need to change into my Pjs. :)

P.S. If you don't like Hip-hop or Country music, there are no radio stations in VA, NC, or SC.

Why I made this

Hello, if you're reading this you might be shocked as I have on many occasions stated my hated for blogs, and yet here I am writing one. Well, my reason is simple. I talk to most of you in person or online and with my internship, I don't know when I'll be online or what times, so i figured I'd make this to keep you all up to date on me, because I know you have nothing better to do then read what I did in Disney today ;).
